Incorporating fabric from print/patterned thrift store textiles, we will cut patches and learn basic boro mending with sashiko stitches to repair the torn knees in your favorite pair of denim jeans. The Slow Fashion movement is equivalent to the farm-to-table trend in food - it’s about recognizing the craftsmanship and minimizing the impacts associated with our wardrobes. October is the official Slow Fashion Month - share your projects on social media using #slowfashionoctober
This workshop will take place at the Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George as part of MakerLab programming. Online registration link will be provided shortly.
